“IT'S NOT WHAT YOUR ANIMAL EATS, IT IS WHAT THEY ABSORB”
In my opinion, a well-balanced diet does not necessarily result in maximum health.
Why say this?
Many times I have suggested that owners and trainers use Dynavyte Equine MicroBiome Support (MBS) with horses on well-balanced diets provided by reputable feed manufacturers. After 2 or 3 weeks I have observed these horses start to bloom in their coats with dapples appearing a little later.
This even occurs in thoroughbred racehorses where quality and expense on feed products is not spared.
The question posed to the horse owners is “if the feed is nutritionally balanced why can Dynavyte Equine MBS improve the appearance of the horse?”
The answer may be that the horse can better absorb the nutrients that are already present in the feed. Dynavyte Equine MBS is not a mineral and vitamin supplement, it only contains about 1/500th of the daily dose in horses. Therefore, Dynavyte Equine MBS does not need to be taken into account when nutritionally balancing a diet.
How would Dynavyte Equine MBS improve absorption?
It is possible that the enzymes produced by Bacillus subtilis in Dynavyte Equine MBS assist the gut to break feed down to components that are more readily absorbed.
A shiny/improved coat may also result from the improvement of mineral and electrolyte absorption.
Other effects of the Bacillus may be involved.
For example, enhancement of the good gut bacteria (such as Lactobacilli and Bifidobacterium) could alter the balance for the better. This improvement in gut microbiota balance may focus the gastrointestinal tract to provide enhanced digestion and therefore improved absorption.
Bacillus subtilis produces serotonin. Up to 95 % of the total serotonin in the body is involved in the gut where it is involved with gut motility or peristalsis and affects gut blood flow. These are other possible mechanisms for improved absorption.
