Deactivate free radicals that are the by-products of oxidative processes within cells. These chemicals cause damage to various parts of the cells. Therefore, antioxidants minimise the damage caused to the cells from these by-products of metabolism.
Excessive amounts of free radicals cause oxidative damage that can interfere with normal cell function. These changes are known to cause many health conditions.
Ferulic esters may be up to 4 times more potent in preventing tissue oxidation than Vitamin E.
